Perched just above the rhythmic tide, this newly realized beach house is a masterclass in spatial transformation. The project began with a site defined not by a blank slate, but by a puzzle of irregular geometries—angular setbacks, complex contours, and an unusual lot orientation that challenged conventional design approaches. Yet, what emerged is a home that feels anything but disjointed. This residence speaks in a language of restraint and refinement, whispering modernity through a palette of white planes, timber textures, and unapologetically clean lines. 

At first glance, the structure presents as a unified whole: low, horizontal, and impossibly crisp against the deep blue horizon. But beneath the cohesive exterior lies a clever duality. The house is actually two distinct dwellings—one the client’s primary residence, and the other a self-contained rental unit. Their separation is imperceptible from the outside, thanks to a seamless architectural shell and a carefully controlled material rhythm that binds the program together. Internally, however, each space breathes with its own logic, ensuring privacy without sacrificing the overarching narrative of the home.

The main dwelling unfolds in an open sequence of interconnected volumes, designed with entertaining in mind. The heart of the home is a grand, gallery-like living space, where full-height glass dissolves the boundary between inside and out. The layout prioritizes flow—between kitchen, dining, and outdoor deck—and fosters a sense of collective luxury, whether hosting intimate dinners or sunset-soaked gatherings of scale. 

The rental dwelling is a mirror in subtlety, smaller but equally refined. It borrows from the same design lexicon—white rendered walls, timber accents, and bold, rectilinear forms—to create a space that feels like an extension rather than an add-on. Shared materials and consistent detailing make the transition between the two invisible, a triumph of spatial choreography.
